What Is Goteo Crowdfunding?
Goteo, an online crowdfunding platform, started in 2011 and is run by the Barcelona-based non-profit Goteo Foundation. It is an open-source crowdfunding platform that focuses on projects which, apart from giving individual rewards, also generates a collective return through promoting the commons, open-source code and/or free knowledge.

What Is The Goteo.org Commission Fee?
In Goteo there are 2 kinds of fees you have to pay when creating a project that will be deducted from the total amount received.
The Goteo Foundation charges a commission of 5% of the entire funds gathered over the two rounds of 40 days for services rendered (publication and use of management tools on the platform, project promotion, consultancy on all aspects of the project presentation and communication). Commissions for financial transactions. The bank charges 0.8% for payment processing on every payment. In case of payments made via PayPal, the commission is 3,4% + €0,35 for every payment.
These commissions are only applied if a project receives finances and the payments are made. If not, using Goteo has no charge for the promoter.
